FEBRUARY ATLANTA APPAREL MEETS A WIDE RANGE OF 2025 SEASONAL SOURCING NEEDS

Buyers finish Spring/Summer, order immediates, and look ahead to Autumn/Winter

ATLANTA – February 12, 2025 – Atlanta Apparel kicked off the 2025 market season with strong sourcing reported across 3,000+ Spring/Summer 2025, early Autumn/Winter 2025 and children’s Autumn/Winter 2025 lines, February 4 – 7, 2025, at AmericasMart Atlanta.

"Atlanta continues to set the pace for the industry," said Caron Stover, ANDMORE℠ SVP, Apparel. "Following a strong Spring/Summer season this February, we’re seeing both immediate product needs and heightened enthusiasm from brands and buyers eager to jumpstart Autumn/Winter sourcing. With this momentum, 2025 is shaping up to be a standout year for early trendsetting and order fulfillment."

Buyers visited the February Atlanta Apparel market from 38 states and 9 international countries, with 20% of market attendees visiting for the first time.

First-time buyer Shelby Harruff, owner of Goldfinch Boutique in Terre Haute, IN, said, “We have been in business for five years but this is my first time attending a market – it has been a long-time career goal of mine. Coming to market has exceeded any expectations I had. Having the chance to see products, touch them and feel them has helped influence my buying decisions. I’ll definitely be back again soon.”

Veteran Atlanta buyers also returned this February and reported a successful first market of 2025.

“We come to Atlanta at least four times every year. Atlanta is our home market,” said Sarah Villella, Manager and Buyer at Narcissus in Tallahassee, FL. “Our market experience was incredible. We sourced for three days and found Fall, Game Day, accessories, shoes and bags that will carry us through the next season.”

While buyers discovered new brands and bought for the next season, exhibitors noted strong sourcing of early Fall.

“This market was very successful. From the first day of market, we had many customers coming to our booth every day, and we opened many new accounts,” said Victoria Munoz,

Sales Representative at Yochi. “Atlanta is a city that is all about diversity and expression, and our brand gets to speak through those values at Atlanta Apparel.”

Janel Heinsen, Regional Sales Manager of exhibiting brand Joseph Ribkoff, noted the importance of having a showroom presence at Atlanta Apparel.

“This market was amazing! We hosted our first event here in Atlanta and it drew many buyers we’ve never worked with and led to many new accounts being opened with us. We also launched Fall this market and saw 48 appointments on the first day, which is more than normal. We are really looking forward to April,” said Heinsen.

Children’s exhibitors and buyers added to the sentiment of an exciting February market.

“We are celebrating 20 years of the Ali & Friends showroom in Atlanta, and we love this market. The Southern hospitality in Atlanta combined with the accessibility of the market and energetic on-site experience make it a great market to be a part of,” said Ali Thompson, Owner and President of Ali & Friends. “Children’s apparel changes a lot over the years as different generations become parents, and Atlanta is an easy destination that people love to come to.”

Thompson, who also manages the new Rylee & Cru children’s showroom added, “Rylee & Cru is a line with a huge following, and they now have a permanent place to exhibit in Atlanta. Exhibiting here has been great for current customers, and it has opened the door for new customers who now get to see and feel the products, so we have seen a ton of new business as well.”

Long-time children’s buyer, Kristen Boothe-Lodes, owner of Tiny Town in Mobile, AL, added to the positive market sentiments, noting Atlanta as a great destination to write orders and expand the company’s professional network.

“This was truly a wonderful market experience. We came to Atlanta early and spent five days sourcing, and were able to find styles that fit our traditional pink and blue aesthetic, as well as some non-traditional holiday colors. We’re excited about the upcoming season,” said Boothe-Lodes. “We left Atlanta feeling this was not only a successful buying experience but also an opportunity to strengthen our buyer network. This industry is challenging, and it's invaluable to connect with others who understand the struggles and are there to support each other's growth and success. We are looking forward to coming back in August!”

In addition to exhibits, Atlanta Apparel’s wealth of at-market brand activations, trend installations and market events added extra value for market participants.

“All of the market events, especially the Color of the Year party, made the market feel so much more like a welcoming family and not a huge trade show event,” added Harruff.
