Shoppe Object Unveils a New Era and New Home in the Iconic Starrett-Lehigh Building
The New York Winter Show (February 2–4, 2025) will be the largest event yet, featuring
artist of the season Jeff Wallace and first-ever BLMAI collaboration with The Folklore
NEW YORK CITY – Shoppe Object, the premier home and gift trade show, is set to launch its February 2–4, 2025, winter edition at a brand new location within the bright, sprawling, open-concept 3rd and 4th floors of the historic Starrett-Lehigh Building (entrance on 11th Avenue between 26th and 27th Streets). Completely sold out to exhibitors, this will be the largest-ever show with over 800 hand-selected brands. The location marks a return to Shoppe Object’s west side roots and a new era conveniently all together under one roof after a year of split locations. The iconic Starrett-Lehigh
Building is truly a part of the fabric of New York. Modern since the start, its architecture and its many occupants have been part of the city’s bold and unfailing, forward-thinking optimism for nearly a century.
“Shoppe Object has always been a reflection of our community and the spaces we inhabit, and we chose our new home at the Starrett-Lehigh Building with extreme care,” says Jesse James, Founder & Show Director. “We’re eight times larger than we were the last time our show took place on the west side of New York City, and Starrett-Lehigh is the perfect backdrop to foster connectivity, inspire our audience, and reinforce our commitment to curation. It’s an iconic building filled with makers, creators, doers and dreamers from all over the world, and we’re looking forward to building a home here for years to come.”
Attendees will enjoy expansive Hudson River views, on-site food and beverage experiences, and convenient access to some of Manhattan’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Bringing all exhibitors together in this single, dynamic environment enables Shoppe Object to expand upon its hallmark sense of curation, camaraderie, and design-forward innovation.
“Year after year, Shoppe Object proves the importance of buyers and sellers meeting face to face through its service-oriented culture and enduring community spirit,” says Dorothy Belshaw, President of Shoppe Object’s parent company, ANDMORE. “Its new home at the Starrett-Lehigh Building facilitates the organic growth and spirit of discovery the show has become known for.”
First-Ever BLMAI Partnership with The Folklore
Furthering its mission of inclusivity, Shoppe Object debuts a new collaboration with The Folklore for its Black Lives Matter Action Initiative (BLMAI). For the first time, a dedicated section at the February show will house an extensive roster of BLMAI exhibitors, shining a spotlight on emerging and established Black-owned brands from around the globe. From handcrafted jewelry to luxury eyewear and home textiles, this curated showcase broadens the design conversation and fosters a more
representative market.
Artist of the Season: Jeff Wallace
Brooklyn- and Italy-based artist Jeff Wallace will take center stage as the Winter 2025 Artist of the Season. Wallace’s tactile, process-driven practice transforms books and found materials into vibrant color studies and meditative collages. Bridging past and present, his unique work will be on display throughout the show, with select original pieces and edition prints available for purchase.
Wildfire Relief Chance Auction
Shoppe Object will host a Wildfire Relief Chance Auction in partnership with Gift For Life with all proceeds supporting World Central Kitchen’s efforts to help our friends and neighbors in Southern California. Attendees can bid on unique pieces from creatives in the Shoppe Object community throughout the show until winners are drawn at 12:00PM on Tuesday, February 4th.
Additional Show Highlights
The new venue will foster the most interactive show yet. Guests can explore the Shoppe Café for daily fare and complimentary breakfast (8-9AM for exhibitors, 9-10AM for attendees), enjoy fresh brews at Onyx Coffee Lab or Masha Tea Café, or gather at the Sunset Lounge for cocktails and networking events. Back by popular demand, James Gallagher will return for live collaging daily. The show also continues to feature signature sections like Nourish, The Shoppe Object Global Artisan Project, Ukraine Designs, and the American Design Club Incubation Space, inviting visitors to discover a global tapestry of craftsmanship under one roof.
An Even Larger Community of Curated Brands
Building on the momentum of past editions, Shoppe Object anticipates record attendance from domestic and international attendees, reflecting the show’s reputation for curation, creativity, and community. The new space allows for an expanded roster of hand-selected exhibitors while maintaining Shoppe Object’s approachable, elevated atmosphere and intimate feel.
